Hello there ~ Fall is one of my favorite seasons to find little things to draw. There are pumpkins, colorful leaves, mushrooms, cozy animals, and so many warm colors everywhere.
For this collection, I put together 12 cute and easy fall drawing ideas that are simple enough for beginners to try.
I included both a colored version and an outline version of each drawing, so you can use them for inspiration or add your own colors and little details.
Don’t worry about making your drawing look exactly the same as mine. I actually think the tiny imperfect lines are part of what makes a doodle feel special.
So grab a pencil or pen, get cozy, and let’s draw some fall things!
1. Bird on a Maple Leaf
Let’s start with a little bird sitting on a fall maple leaf.
I kept the bird very simple and added a bright orange leaf underneath for a little pop of fall color.
2. Falling Autumn Leaves
Here are some simple fall leaves to doodle.
I mixed a few different leaf shapes together because I like how loose and playful they look when they’re scattered around.
3. Stacked Pumpkin Cats
I wanted to turn some pumpkins into cats, and somehow I ended up stacking three of them together 🙂
You can try different pumpkin colors or give each little cat its own expression.
4. Cute Fall Snail
Here is a cozy little snail with fall leaves growing from its head.
I gave this one a soft pink shell, but you can make the shell any color you like.
5. Autumn Dove
For this drawing, I made a simple flying bird carrying a few golden ginkgo leaves.
I like how peaceful this one feels, and it’s also a nice easy drawing if you want something a little more simple.
6. Mushrooms in a Book
I thought it would be fun to imagine tiny mushrooms growing right out of an open book.
This one feels a little magical to me, especially with the different mushroom shapes and colors.
7. Mushrooms on a Log
Let’s draw a few more mushrooms, this time growing all around a fallen log.
You don’t have to make every mushroom the same. Try changing the sizes, shapes, and colors to make your own little mushroom world.
8. Cat Playing with Fall Leaves
Of course I had to add another cat to this fall drawing collection.
This little cat is reaching up to play with a falling leaf. I kept the shapes really simple so it’s easy to recreate.
9. Pumpkin Cat
Here is another silly fall cat idea — a cat balancing a pumpkin right on top of its head.
I especially like the slightly grumpy face on this one. You can change the expression and make your cat look sleepy, happy, surprised, or anything you want.
10. Ghost in a Fall Mug
For something a little more Halloween-ish, let’s draw a tiny ghost popping out of a warm fall mug.
I added a little string of lights around the cup to make it feel extra cozy.
11. Fall Bunny
Here is a simple bunny all dressed up for cooler weather.
I gave the bunny a warm scarf and added a few tiny acorns and a fall flower around it.
12. Cozy Fall Fox
And for our last drawing, here is a little fox curled up into a cozy ball.
I love drawing animals in this kind of tucked-in pose. The big orange tail almost becomes a circle around the whole drawing.

Feel free to use the outline drawings as inspiration and change anything you want — the colors, faces, leaves, little details, or even the whole idea. Sometimes my favorite drawings happen when I stop trying to make everything perfect and just see where the drawing goes.
